Beginning on Tuesday drivers will take to the track at the Jim Russell Karting facility in Mont Tremblant Quebec. The event will feature two testing days on Tuesday and Wednesday, and on Thursday official competition will begin with Qualifying. Three heats will make up Friday and Saturday and the Main event takes place on the Sunday.
REM features 9 drivers in this weekend’s competition ranging from Briggs and Stratton classes to the premier Senior Rotax division. The driver line up for REM is as follows:
Kieran Oxley: Rotax Senior
Kevin Monteith: Rotax Senior
Scott Jefferies: Briggs Masters
James Kouri: Briggs Masters
Austin Bisschop: Briggs Junior
Kyle Edgar: Briggs Senior
Ryan Brutski: Briggs Senior
Each of these drivers will be seeking glory at this edition of the Championships. There will be many drivers to watch throughout the weekend, Kyle Edgar has shown great speed throughout the season with many top notch performances in the ECKC series. Austin Bisschop has also been a top contender during this season in his class. We are looking for a solid breakout performance from him with the potential for victory. Scott Jefferies has also found some great pace in his first full season with REM, with a near podium on a few occasions this season. REM hopes to give him that final push to get him on the podium this weekend. Kieran Oxley and Kevin Monteith are both looking for front running performances this weekend after a tough season that has been full of problems for the both of them.
REM has also confirmed an entry in the team challenge, a new edition to the championships in 2014. For the relay race portion of the challenge Glenn Butler and Peter Oxley will be competing for the win for team REM.
